When Verona first came to Rescue Village, she was scared and didn't even want to be touched. Verona quickly adapted to a home environment in foster care, but still didn't trust humans. She is very playful and loves all sorts of feather wands, especially those with the feathers on the end of a long strip of fabric. It still took her a couple months to figure out why her foster mom kept trying to touch her, but she finally figured it out-petting is great! She's still very playful, but now she loves to be petted, too. She likes puzzle toys, too, even something as simple as putting her plastic toy balls inside an empty paper towel tube. It might take her extra time to get used to new people but now that she knows she likes to be petted, maybe it won't take that long. Verona is one year and five months old.
