Zoey came to us from a major case of neglect where she was starved and near death. She needs an experienced owner who is willing to spend a great deal of time earning her trust and continuing with the type of training she has been given while under our care. Zoey has been in professional training off-site for several months, and after only 2 weeks under saddle she showed potential for Pleasure, Dressage and Trail riding. Due to her history of neglect she has some soundness issues in her joints and will not be suitable for a heavy rider or jumping. With the right maintenance plan (joint supplements, regular hoof trimming and veterinary guidance) she should thrive as an active mount. Zoey needs a confident rider who is patient and experienced with spirited mounts; she is best suited for an intermediate young adult rider or higher. She is very willing to please and enjoys being ridden and pampered (grooming, bathing, clipping). She bonds very quickly and intensely with other horses and would do best in a barn with one or more horses and have frequent contact and pasture time with them.
